Played over four rounds, Nightmare Productions puts players in charge of assembling everything needed to complete their films. Players bid on chips representing directors, actors, cameras, special effects, music, guest stars, and agents, then add them to their individual film strips to build their productions.
But every movie has different requirements. One production might need two actors but no music, while another could require cameras, effects, and other talent before it can be completed. Choosing what to bid on—and knowing when to let your opponents overspend—is all part of the strategy.
As each movie is completed, its point value is recorded and the player takes a new film strip to begin their next production. After four rounds of bidding and filmmaking, the player who has created the most successful collection of movies comes out on top.
